It wasn't too far back when his father was upon this rock ledge, hissing out announcements and being his harsh and stern self. It wasn't too far back when the great changes came along, the surprise of his unknown son - himself - was unveiled while the great illness killed his old man. Mats wasn't exactly like Hummels; especially body wise. Rather than a cougar like his father, he was a black tom, sturdily built and rather tall. Lean and mean, he had striking eyes of almost yellow hue. Personality wise they were not close... a few similarities here and there.
But the biggest factor was that, unlike the previous Lord Hummels, Mats knew he'd have to prove himself. People automatically followed his dad... but would they do the same for him?
"DRAFTCLANNERS, GATHER," he called, prowling back and forth briefly on the limited space of the ledge. Waiting for some to gather, he'd go on. The others could strain to listen if they wanted to be lazy and travel over with slow pace. "Everyone under Redhawk and me is demoted. I will be on the look out for people to fill the empty spots of each rank."
"For now, without our priest and priestess ranks filled, anyone who knows anything on herbs can temporarily heal. Though, there is no reason for anyone to be getting hurt or getting sick - the illness has came to what appears to be its end. Stay tuned for further news."
