WELCOME TO SOLARITE. Cats representing the four elements fight to survive and take all they can from the others. Pollution and mysterious events is what keeps everyone down, sometimes it proves to even be fatal. It's 'fend for yourself', everybody against everybody. Who will win? Who's side are you on?
Hummels sat in a cold cave, ignoring the chill as he sat. He was angry at himself - he was horrific, terrifying. It was a grim reminder as he came across a small kitten today and it backed off in fear at the sight of his size and missing face. He muttered insults at himself, the cougar plopping down to lay as he rested his face on his large paws.
In the dark of this cave that engulfed him, he was alone. Was this what he'd always be? So far it felt like a painful truth, but who knew if it was fact and set in stone as he frowned softly.
Redhawk, unlike the cougar, knew that he was fairly handsome; he had a broad, strong face, and his eyes were a pretty shade of green. He got compliments every so often, and, when he'd been a loner, even a couple admirers - however, he'd never really liked someone until Hummels.
Redhawk couldn't calm the fire that sparked in his belly whenever he saw the cougar; it was weird to feel like this, especially when he knew that his affections would never be returned. So, the Bengal had decided to settle for a friendship... a weird, sorta gay friendship.
He'd been out on a walk, doing nothing in particular, when he spotted the leader sitting quietly in a cave. Redhawk raised an eyebrow before he took a step forward, and another, until shadows covered his spotted pelt in strange patterns. "Hummels?" he called softly, pausing before he reached the cougar. He looked like he was hurt, almost, though Redhawk doubted that.
Hummels was quick to shuffle up, shaking the little bit of dust quickly out of his belt. No, appearing weak was not an option - even if he wasn't really close to such a thing. He was strict and stern, was he not? His single golden eye closed, hiding itself from the world. Oh, who knew he'd every crave to feel the other one to close for once too so much.
"Redhawk," he greeted, rather curtly for once, "Hello. What are you doing out over near these caves? Activity around here isn't much compared to other spots in the territory," the cougar said smoothly, voice it's usual rough and somewhat graspy, but not too so. It was a rather handsome sounding voice - his family was known for its looks and elegant persona, however Hummels was convinced his reputation as such one was perhaps destroyed.

"I was passing by when I saw you; I wanted to investigate." Redhawk answered with a shrug, coming forward a few more steps and dropping into a sitting position. "How are you, Hummels?" the Bengal would ask, looking the cougar up and down before returning his gaze to Hummels's eyes. He looked fine now; perhaps it was just a figment of his imagination.
"Doing just fine, Redhawk. I'm not one to have many bothers, as you know," he assured, briefly licking a paw and smoothing some fur with it in a matter of moments. As Lord he was to look his best, just like any other business oriented being. Some could say he was most like a businessman when it came to the four leaders, and the cougar couldn't say he didn't agree at times. For example - rather than litters from love they were litters from business related subjects, or alliances. Was he to ever change?
"What about you? Have anything on your mind? Any more nosebleeds?" Hummels joked with small grin, giving the tom a wink as he referred to the power discovery incident where he got a very minor nosebleed, but he didn't even know if you could call it that since it was just a drop. "I felt you heat up, you know."
"Heat up? Oh... I must've been tired from using my power for the first time." Redhawk said after a short moment, making up a somewhat conceivable lie with a smile. Damn, was he onto him? Oh, dear. "As for your other question, everything's been smooth sailing lately." Redhawk then, hoping to steer Hummels off the subject, asked, "Have you discovered any new tricks you can accomplish with airbending?"
Hummels rolled his eyes slightly, straightening up his posture a bit as he sat on his haunches. "I've... discovered something quite interesting, not to mention developed a few theories regarding things to do with the power." He wasn't sure if Redhawk would have a care for his theories, so he simply moved on with explaining what he had found. "I noticed that we can form the air into like a blade. I haven't tried it on flesh, however it was capable of cutting small limbs on a few cedars."
A blade made of air? The idea seemed impossible, but then again, so had airbending in the first place. "That's interesting... I'll keep that in mind." Redhawk murmured thoughtfully, dipping his head. He'd have to try that someday; it'd no doubt be useful in battle if it could actually cut through skin.
