Hummels had been out hunting, wanting to stockpile food since the winter months were right around the corner. When the snow blanketed the mountains prey was scarce, seeing as more than half of it went into hibernation and all.
In his fierce jaws was the neck of a deer, one he was dragging back up to camp. Some that weren't part of the Draftinite always had trouble climbing up the main mountain, however for most of its members it was no problem.
Venison was the cougars favorite food; Hummels had to resist the urge to take a bite. While he was a greedy man he wasn't the type of greedy to take the needs his civilians required to thrive. No, he was more greedy when it came to clan business; land, alliances, and so on.
With a quick stretch he set the doe down, licking the blood from his lips and muzzle.
