Name: Oceanmist
Age: 12 months
Gender: Female
Rank: Medicine cat
Alliance: DraftClan
APPEARANCE& Oceanmist is a rather thin and dainty feline; petite ears and paws, thin bones. Rather small. Her eyes, however, her eyes are large blue sapphires, or at least they were before she grew blind and they began to fog over with a thin veil of grey. Even despite this, they are beautiful sparkling orbs. You can see that Oceanmist is quite neat; her fur is perfectly flattened, no knots or dirty spots. Everything about her seems fresh and clean, which is surprising for someone who lacks the ability to see. A long, pink scar runs down the back of her hind leg, like a scratch to a crystalline wine glass. Within the mask of grey sits a raspberry nose, perfectly small atop a flattened muzzle.
Personality: Oceanmist is certainly one of the sweetest felines you can meet. I know, generic for a medicine cat, though this persona was most likely obtained when she lost the ability to see and her sympathy levels grew. Though, don't let this cliche, soft and sweet idea of her being the perfect medic fool you - she can be quite tough when she wants to, though within realism; being blind certainly slows her down and she relies purely on her nose, ears and paws to guide her, and has pretty much zero expertise in fighting and hunting.
Something that Oceanmist always needs is an activity to entertain her. Sitting and doing nothing is not an option - she needs to busy herself by sorting herbs, throwing out the wilting ones, collecting herbs, maybe even just going around and making conversation. She only sleeps at night, naps aren't an option, and she prefers to spend her nights with only as much sleep as she needs. She will be up by dawn, doing whatever is needed to be done.
History: Oceankit was an adventurous just feline. In her youth, she would be constantly sneaking from camp, spending her time exploring and discovering new things. One day, however, she had been careless, and a fox had managed to sneak up on her. The classic kitten thing to do, wasn't it? She raced back to camp for help, and the fox claimed one life - her sister, who was only three months, just like she. The guilt that Oceankit felt that day was overwhelming. Her mother could hardly bear to lay eyes on her, and the leader decided that he'd delay her apprenticeship by one month. She didn't mind. Most of her days from then on were spent in the nursery, sleeping or fiddling with some twig or rock. She hardly left, too afraid to see the faces of what she imagined angry and betrayed DraftClanner's. It was around the age of five or six months that their medic persuaded Oceankit to help her out healing.
By the time she was seven months old, she felt a little better, though she had to keep working, doing things, to keep her mind off of what had happened to her younger sister. The medic took Oceanpaw under her wing, and she became the medicine cat apprentice. Her mother died of old age, though it wasn't too hard for Oceanpaw to deal with as her mother had barely cared for her after what had happened to her sister. At the age of nine months, something took Oceanpaw's eyes. What it was was unknown; some form of sickness that was incurable. She managed to feel her way around, learn to rely on her senses. Her mentor helped her. At the age of ten months, her mentor passed away, and Oceanpaw was asked to step up as a full medicine cat. Oceanmist.
Other: Kind of sloppy; I'm tired.
