WELCOME TO SOLARITE. Cats representing the four elements fight to survive and take all they can from the others. Pollution and mysterious events is what keeps everyone down, sometimes it proves to even be fatal. It's 'fend for yourself', everybody against everybody. Who will win? Who's side are you on?
The tigress slowly patrolled the territory, humming very softly. "Or break with the ones you've followed..." She murmured. A snap in the bushes a few steps away startled her; Bailley whipped around to face the noise, fur standing on end. "Who's there?!"

"Bailley?" he thought aloud, hearing the females voice. "Fuck, that hurt." Hummels believed he was the only one here as he cursed about the pain from talking due to half his face missing. He zoned out briefly on Bailley - then once more his presence hit him. "It's me, Hummels. I'm on my territory, however, so don't rip off the other half of my face, thank you."
She breathed a sigh of relief, only just then realizing that she was patrolling the Draftinite border for whatever reason. She allowed herself to calm down as she rumbled,"And why would I do that? I may be cruel, Hummels, but I'm not that cruel." Bailley smirked. "Though you did startle me."

"I see. I'd assume you'd want revenge for my awkwardness our last visit. Terribly sorry about that - I feel like a bad, bad man." he rambled on a bit, however he didn't really care. Hummels lifted a paw a bit, right at the border - "Mind if I cross? I prefer conversation with no barriers," he smirked a bit, a small grin forming on his handsome face. Even if it lacked one half it didn't lack it's previous looks.
Bailley shrugged her shoulders and stepped back. "Go ahead." Jay was right about that- Hummels hadn't lost his handsomeness at all; in fact, with the wound, the Chief found him all the more attractive. It was a strange feeling, really, to find someone... more or less attractive. It was quite obvious that the female had never felt this way before (and, for Bailley, it was a horrible thing to feel).

What a shame it was - a handsome man but a man that only seemed to care about business. Instead of love litters there was alliance litters. Instead of children they were simple products made to strengthen a clans bond with another. Was that all he knew how to feel? Perhaps emotions weren't his best topic.
Now they were face to face. "Is it too horrific?" he asked, referring to his injury. They recently removed the cobwebs, his eyeless pit being revealed for the fist time and his wounds losing their scabby appearance. "I can turn away, Bailley."
That was when she realized that she was staring. Ears hot with embarrassment, Bailley cleared her throat, shook her head and looked away. "Uh... n- no, it's fine. You look... fine."

Even if she said it was okay, he found himself yanking his head to an angle where the missing half wasn't visible. With a small frown he did his best to ignore the staring; ugh, was he that hideous or that much of an eyesore? Or was she staring for other reasons? What did he know - the only female he tried to understand was Oraclekeeper, and it seemed she found him "scary". Shoot, him? Yeah, he was scary appearance wise and anger wise as well. But Hummels could be a softie... right? Who knew, for no one ever got that far.
"What have you been doing, Bailley?" he asked in attempt to stir up conversation. "Is the cougar body put away during pregnancy or do you not want to be reminded of me?" It was a bit of a joke, the make quick to dismiss it.
She flicked her gaze back to him, searching the look in his eye for... something. Bailley studied the Draftinite lord for a few moments before shaking her head softly. "No, I... I put it away. Too keep it safe, I'd prefer not to lose those cubs." The tigress lifted her head and rolled her shoulders back, gaze cast over her shoulder now.

"Are they that valuable to you before even born? Hm," he murmured furrowing his brow slightly. They weren't even born yet! Perhaps, perhaps it was just how Hummels was - he hadn't had experience in Bailley's field of emotions. No fatherly instinct or anything... none of it. "I'd figure you wouldn't want them. Earthinite used to have its pure blood days, as fabled."
She raised an eyebrow and smirked. "If I didn't want them, Hummels, then why would I agree to have them?" The tigress laughed softly. "Every female has her motherly instinct. Even if I regretted getting pregnant in the first place I'd still keep them; killing unborn cubs is far worse than anything I could or ever have done..." Bailley circled around him slowly, tapping his shoulder with her tail. "It is true, though. The Earthinites used to be nothing but Earthinites. Unless I'm mistaken, I'm the very last pure blood. A long legacy of proud mine dwellers, ending with... me. I'm possibly the worst choice for a successor." She looked at her paws. "When we fell into inactivity, there was no other choice but to take in the loners and kittypets. I'm not very fond of them, but at least they keep the Clan active."

"To make me leave, perhaps. My stubbornness is no secret," he said, voice with its usual rough sound as he shifted his shoulders at her touch. God, he hated having a blindside now with his injury. Hummels arched a brow, "Proud mine-dwellers, hm? Don't you ever crave the feeling of sunlight?"
The cougar got up onto his large paws, watching her circle him like some shark ready to make a move. He flicked his ewes and tail without a care, however. "Us Draftinite's were wise... we knew what was associated with wind. Tornadoes, hurricanes, straight line winds... but the key factor was we knew they didn't last long. The tornado was destructive, however didn't kill near as many as it could of."
"Half the clan was clairvoyants - did you know, Bailley? Abandoned us before the tornado hit. The few adults survived and, even if I was a trainee at the time, I found myself living, too. Youngest. Our noble blood was mixed, tainted, corrupted - the adults died and I was climbing up with each death. Perhaps I'm the last pure blood, who knows."
Bailley bore her teeth in a grin, tail curling at his question. "Sure, the sun feels nice on our backs, but we've grown so accustomed to the darkness that the light, in a word... burns." She shrugged her shoulders. "That's very unfortunate. My kin died mostly from the floor or ceiling falling through, either killing them in the drop or crushing them beneath boulders. I became chief when I was a new warrior." Smiling wryly, she dropped onto her haunches in front of him and tilted her head.

"Bailley, Bailley - what am I to do with you? I could show you what you are missing out on, cooped up in those crystal mines," he rumbled, a glint in his eyes with the slightest hint of caring, possibly. "We could go to the lake - fish. Tigers like swimming, don't they? Come on," he said, walking out as he briefly brushed past her.
The cougar stretched briefly, yawning widely and tensing up briefly from the stretching flesh of his injury, caused by the action. "Call it a day out, will you? A..." Hummels grinned, "... field trip."
