Name: Haworthiastar
Age: Twenty-one months
Gender: Genderqueeer (physically female)
Pronouns: They/Them/Theirs
Sexuality: Aromantic
Appearance:
Simplified: Blue calico with hetero-chromatic blue and green eyes.
Detailed: The figure of Haworthiastar is relatively round, despite their attempts at exercise and decreased eating habits- they simply have a very slow metabolism that makes them gain weight easier and quicker. Despite this, though, they are relatively attractive in their intense eye color, each mismatched shade vibrant and piercing. Their physical advantages include strength, with relatively large muscles, and endurance, being very used to pain and not easily distracted by it- they can take many hits before they start to feel weakened to a dangerous extent. However, their disadvantages are slowness due to their heavier set body weight and low stamina- they cannot fight for very long without tiring or growing exhausted.
Haworthiastar's pelt coloring is a less commonly seen variation of the calico coloring, with faded hints of pastel caramel, blueish/lilac grey, and soft hues thereof splashed across their frame. Interrupting these patterns is white blotches, nearly vanilla in color, and found on their stomach, chin, chest, and forepaws. Their hind paws have white splashes up to the mid-leg, and the fore paws have more of a sock-like length, only breaching the top of the paw itself. Haworthiastar's fur length is relatively long, but the texture genuinely depends on the weather. In the colder seasons it is much thicker to keep them warm, but during the warmer seasons it is thin and slightly wispy, much lighter and cooler for ventilation, so they do not overheat.
Some noticeable scars and flaws are visible along this cat's body. The easiest to spot is a long gash across their face that interrupts the blue left eye, causing it to cloud over with sightlessness, though still surprisingly active, as if they can still see you. Their right hind leg also appears crooked near the ankle due to a past injury, and their tongue has a sliver in it, a minor injury from a thorn they tried to remove from their pad. Other than that, they have never been sick and have no other scars or blemishes.
Personality:
Simplified: Sharp-tongued, overthinking, organized, always trying to fix things even if it doesn't involve them. Also spiteful, compulsive but defensive liar, and judgmental.
Detailed: Haworthiastar, in generally, is easy to get along with an acquaintance. They do not like to dig deep into other people's personal lives and usually keep to themselves. They don't enjoy drama but they are fairly good at settling it. However, once you become well known to Haworthiastar, more of their personality begins to show through. The most noticeable is their wit. Haworthiastar does not take kindly to being offended and will usually make quick and snappy responses to anything that rubs their fur the wrong direction. They are not quick to start an argument, but they are definitely quick to end it, usually by blatantly ignoring whoever steps in their way- after a good tongue-lashing. They also tend to overthink most things when they are bored- sometimes completely zoning out. These episodes are usually followed by confusion and slight paranoia, as they may forget where they are or what they were doing, maybe even who they are talking with. This will prove to be a problem in later days.
Despite this daydreaming habit, Haworthiastar is a very well-structured cat, and does not like to become disorganized. They like to have places for everything, and things left untended to generally make them very uneasy and troubled. Due to this, Haworthiastar is easiy to become stressed, and these burdens will plague them with headaches or migraines. If something is wrong, broken, or otherwise flawed, Haworthia with often overwork themselves trying to fix it- regardless of whether it involves them or not. In this way, Haworthiastar might possibly stick their nose into other people's business without entirely meaning to- as stated before, the problems of others usually don't interest them unless affecting them directly. Their need for order and calmness also leads to a kind of obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Haworthiastar has their own fair share of flaws. Their most noticeable is their spite- this cat is easy and quick to hold a grudge and their temper is not helping the situation. Malice is easily found in this feline, and it's no surprise that they would form a vendetta based on it. They are also infamous for their ability to spout a lie in the heat of a moment or in self-defense, or otherwise alter the truth. Honesty is a constant trouble for Haworthiastar, but it is an obstacle that they will persistently try to overcome in their future, and usually fail at as a stressful situation is thrown at them. Finally, Haworthia is also quick to judge or make first assumptions about people they don't know. They like to assign traits to others and they usually stick to these assumptions, regardless of whether they are positive or negative, and this stubbornness is also a critical flaw that they have trouble getting past.
History:
As a kitten: Haworthiakit was a rather queer individual. During this time, they had tentatively been "she," and her social status was likely the lowest it could ever be. She didn't associate much if at all with any of her Clanmates, and in fact remained relatively reserved, perhaps even reclusive in her ways. She spent her time mostly discovering new things in the realm of old legends overheard from the elders- something frowned upon by her peers. Despite this, though, Haworthiakit become fairly knowledgeable in the history of her Clan, be it legend or not. However, Haworthiakit's absence from the social events left her fairly unknown in the group, which led to rumors and jeers, which would become much more serious into her apprentice days. Haworthiakit isolated herself from her family at about three months aside from feeding, and weaned herself, perhaps maturing more quickly at this age than her others.
As an apprentice: Haworthiapaw was definitely stranger than Haworthiakit. As she was thrown into the world of sociability with the other apprentices, she found herself lost, loathed, and confused. Her mentor was not the friendliest, and he perhaps even came off as disadvantaged, several times during the training expressing his dislike towards have the "caveman cat" as his apprentice, and that it ruined his status. His training was harsh and extreme, and usually by the end of the day Haworthiapaw found herself collapsing into her nest with bruises and scratches over her body from a hard training. She also faced emotional and physical abuse from her peers- calling her a Boo Radley, insulting her, and bullying her into sleeping outside for "taking up too much space" in the den. It was around this time that she started to gain weight, something beyond her control but constantly reminded of. Her breaching point was when she was raped by her mentor- she snapped and accidentally delivered a killing blow to the male, ending his life. She dumped his body in the marsh and let the mud eat his body, until their was no memory of it left- and she aborted the kittens with borage leaves. It appears that she has accidentally blocked memory of this from her mind, but somewhere between the incident and the end of her apprenticeship Haworthiapaw decided that the female gender no longer was appropriate for her and instead demanded to be referred to at neutral pronouns.
